Qualities of a GOOD Lecturer should have

Hello.

So, suitable with our surroundings right now, which is UNIVERSITY environment, I want to write about how to be a good lecturer. Usually we just focus on how to be a good students, how to be successful students, but now, we will inverse the situation, as I think Lecturer also essential to ensure student's success.

Here we go, there are some points that I would highlighted here:

1.Positive Mental Attitude
2.Creative
3.Role Model
4.Presentation Skills
5.Respectful



1.POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE

A lecturer should be able to think more on the positive and a little less on the negative. To keep a smile on your face when things get tough. To see the bright side of things. To seek to find the positives in every negative situation. So the students will be more respect and will take you as their role model in their studies.

2.CREATIVE

A lecturer should be able to motivate the students by using creative and inspirational methods of teaching. Different in the approach will make a lecturer stand out from the crowd. Hence the reason why students enjoy the classes and seek the lecturer out for new ideas.

3.ROLE MODEL

The lecturer is the window through which many young people will see their future. Be a fine role model.
Don't late to lecture session, behave properly, wear neatly, speak nicely. Remember you the window for the student's future.

4.PRESENTATION SKILLS

A lecturer must know that their students are visual, auditory or kinaesthetic learners. So, a lecturer must adept at creating presentation styles for all three. The body language is your main communicator and you keep it positive at all times. Like a great orator, a lecturer must passionate when speaking. But at the same time a lecturer must know that discussion and not lecturing stimulates greater feedback.

5.RESPECTFUL

We know that no one is more important in the world than anyone else.We know that everyone has a place in the world. So if we respect our  peers and our students,so having that respect for others get us the respect back from others.Simple.

So, these are some GOOD qualities that a lecturer should have esspecially in a rated as 5-TIER UNIVERSITY like Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.
